The Jammu and Kashmir Health and Medical Education on Wednesday ordered posting of doctors at residence of Chief Minister, J&K as well as at MLA hostels at Jammu/Srinagar with immediate effect.
“In order to ensure adequate medical support for the Chief Minister and the Members of the Legislative Assembly, it is hereby ordered that following doctors are deployed at the residence of the Chief Minister, J&K as well as at the MLA hostels at Jammu/Srinagar with immediate effect,” said an order issued by H&ME Department.
Dr. Maninder Singh, Medical Officer at PHC Kanachak is posted to Chief Minister’s Residence, Jammu. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Rather, Medical Officer, SDH Kralpora has been posted to Chief Minister’s Residence, Srinagar.
Similarly, Dr. Aaqib Manzoor, Medical Officer on deputation to ESI Dispensary Digiyana, Jammu, has been posted to the MLA Hostel in Jammu, while Dr. Asif Ali Baldev, Medical Officer at District Hospital Ramban, has been posted to the MLA Hostel in Srinagar.
“All the aforesaid doctors shall be deemed to have been relieved from their respective place of postings forthwith,” the order said.
The move came after Omar Abdullah took oath as the first Chief Minister of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir following the victory of his National Conference in the maiden Assembly Election after the abrogation of Article 370.
