Jammu, December 20: Today, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was welcomed in a vibrant manner in Municipal Committee Jourian with the message of sustainable development and hopes of positive transformation across various fields.
The yatra was received in a celebratory mood at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Jourian, guided by the Executive Officer Municipal Committee Jourian Sh. Subash Chander. Various departments participated with a commitment towards on-the-spot services for citizens.
The event was graced by Dr. Rashmi Singh IAS , ADC Jammu, SDM Akhnoor, Tehsildar , Jourian ,BJP Ex. Vice President Kissan Advisory Board (MoS) Sh. Daljeet Singh as Chief guests while ward members and President being Guests of Honour. The local of town Jourian took keen interest in the camps of various departments and interacted with various officials regarding the efforts of the government aimed towards overall development. Instead of these Smt. Kavita Garg IAS , Joint Secretary Govt. of India also visited and inspected the various stall of Deptt.
The VBSY program exemplified collaborative efforts across Health, Social Welfare, NRHM, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Industrial & Commerce, ICDS, Revenue, RDD and more.
The cultural activities under ‘Dharti Kahe Pukar Ke’ included Nukkad Natak performance, Quiz on National Schemes, Awareness speeches on welfare schemes, patriotic performances from students of schools. Health Check-Up camp was also organised under the guidance of Block Medical Officer Jourian. New Drone Technologies being developed for the agricultural development were also showcased. The Yatra celebrated the achievements of women, sports enthusiasts and academic achievers and the Chief Guests facilitated them with awards of recognition.
With today’s event the Yatra concluded in Jourian town with a pledge for overall Development of the country from the grassroot level.
