Mendhar 15 Dec: To promote sports in the border areas and keep the youth away from drugs, many benefits have been given by the Indian Army to help the youth.
A mat was presented to the Kabaddi team by the local Rashtriya Rifles under the Romeo Force of the Indian Army located in Mendhar sub division of Poonch district on Friday.
The Kabaddi team of Government Higher Secondary School Boys located in Mendhar town has performed in different parts of the country, which includes youth from rural areas along the India-Pakistan Line of Control. The youth had demanded Kabaddi mat from the Indian Army as they were not able to buy it due to the high amount and used to practice in the open field due to which their players got injured.
Seeing the enthusiasm and passion of the youth, the Army fulfilled their demand and today called them to its headquarters and presented them with Kabaddi mat. On this occasion, in the presence of the team coach and the school principal and other teachers, Army officials presented him a Kabaddi mat.
The coach along with the players of the team expressed gratitude to the Indian Army that the Army comes forward to help the youth all the time and today they presented this gift which will boost the morale of the players so that the players can perform well and bring glory to the region, the country and their families Will be able to do they said.
