The Meteorological department has forecast light rain or snow at scattered to fairly widespread places in Jammu and Kashmir on November 29 and 30.
A MeT official said weather would remain generally cloudy with light rain or snow at isolated places on November 27 and 28.
“There will be light rain or snow scattered to fairly widespread places in J&K from November 29–30,” he said. The official said from December 1 to 5, the weather would generally remain partly cloudy.
The cold conditions prevailed in Kashmir with fog engulfing isolated places including parts of Dal Lake in Srinagar Sunday.
The MeT official said shallow to moderate fog is likely to continue till November 28 over many places in Kashmir.
Srinagar recorded a low of 0.0 degree Celsius today while Pahalgam remained the coldest place in the valley with minimum temperature settling at -1.8 degree Celsius today.
Qazigund recorded a minimum of 0.6 degree Celsius, the minimum temperature in Kokernag settled at 1.5 degree Celsius while Kupwara had a low of -0.7 degree Celsius.
Gulmarg in north Kashmir recorded a low of 0.5°C as against -1.0°C recorded the previous night.
