Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, led by senior leaders, held a meeting of its Election Management department at party headquarters Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, accompanied by general secretary (org.) Ashok Koul and general secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal addressed the meeting organized by Department Incharge Parduman Singh.
Senior party leaders as Booth Level Agents (BLA1) representing 43 Assembly constituencies of Jammu region participated in this meeting.
Ravinder Raina, while addressing the meeting, asked the party leaders to focus on the new voters, who have just reached or about to reach the required age set up by Election Commission to register themselves as first time voters. He said that the senior party leaders acting as BLA1 have the duty to represent every new voter in the respective Assembly Constituency. Highlighting the prominent role of youth to shape the future of nation, he said that the young people’s enthusiasm and innovation could be an important driver for change. He also prompted the youth to pro-actively register themselves as voters in special summary revision.
Ashok Koul discussed the assembly segment -wise progress of the electoral rolls revision process work by BLA1s. He asked the BLA1s to aware the BLA2s to pace up the process on the ground level. He stressed on the detailed verification of the voter lists to check and make the genuine addition and deletion of the voters.
Dr. Manyal prompted all the BLA1s to ensure participation of party activists in the process so that no eligible youth should be left behind without registration. He told them to be actively involved with all the agencies in the enrolment process in their respective areas.
Parduman Singh shared that revision of votes is on 18-19 November and asked them to prepare the list of youth having attained the age of 18 years as well as others who are about to attain the required age on or before 1st October 2024.
