The Samba police yesterday solved a mysterious murder case by arresting a man who killed his wife in Ramgarh area of Samba.
As per sources, the matter came to fore when a woman was found dead in her inlaws house on October 27 in Nandpur area of Ramgarh in Samba. The victim had marks on her neck when she was found dead in a room in her in-laws home.
After the incident, the local police sent the woman’s body for autopsy in Community Health Centre in Ramgarh in Samba. and after the deceased’s post-mortem her body was handed over to her family for cremation.
The victim wife is identified as Arti Devi (29) r/o Nandpur in Ramgarh of Samba.
Taking notice of the victim’s death the Samba police launched a probe u/s 174 CrPC into the death of the victim and found that the deceased’s husband gave sleeping pills to his parents and later to his wife and killed her by strangulating her. The accused murdered his wife to get wed to a lady with whom he was having an illegitimate affair.
The Samba Police has arrested husband for murdering his wife at Nandpur in Samba and changed probe into FIR u/s 302 IPC and solved mysterious death case of Arti Devi.
The arrested killer accused husband has been identified as Gurdeep Singh s/o Raj Kumar r/o Nandpur, tehsil Ramgarh of Samba.
The probe of the case is being conducted by SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Sangra under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
