Army organised Free medical camp in remote Village Kalaban

Poonch 13 Nov: On behalf of the local Rashtriya Rifle Battalion of the Indian Army, a medical camp was organized in the remote and backward Area  Kalaban Village of Mendhar sub division of Poonch district on Monday.

 Report said that, villagers living in three panchayats  Nadol, Kalaban Lower and Upper came in large numbers and got their health checked.  Army doctors along with local doctors were present to check the health of the patients.  According to the local people, for the first time a health camp was organized by the Army in this area, which has benefited the people living in the hilly areas.

Wheel chairs were also presented by the Army to 10  disabled peoples including women from nearby villages.  The  purpose of medical camp was to provide facilities to the peoples remote areas where health facilities are not available.

 The Sarpanch of the area and other villagers expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army They said that the people of this  village got a lot of benefits as free medicines were also distributed in the Camp. They further said that while the deployed soldiers are standing day and night for the security of our country, on the other hand they are also ready to provide every possible help to the Locals. We are proud of the Indian Army and we hope that such camps will continue to be organized in the future also.
